Baker & Mckenzie is accepting applications for scholarships to be awarded to law students attending selected universities in Beijing (two scholarships per university) for the current academic year. Full-time postgraduate students (major in Commercial Law, Economic Law, International Law or Intellectual Property Law preferred) and full-time undergraduate students are eligible to apply.

 

RMB10, 000 will be awarded to students who successfully demonstrate the following qualities:

-          Academic merit as shown in their LLB or LLM degree

-          Outstanding social contributions

-          Participation in extra-curricular activities

-          Communication and interpersonal skills

-          Originality and incisiveness of their written work

-          Fluency in oral and written English

Successful applicants in the first round will be contacted and requested to come to the Beijing office of baker & mckenzie for en interview. Applicants may consider their application unsuccessful if no arrangement for interview is made before 20 May 2010.
