The Beijing Office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, an international law firm headquartered in Washington DC, is seeking a part-time intern from among students currently studying at top Chinese law schools to work closely with qualified legal professionals on projects related to Steptoe’s various practices, such as regulatory compliance, international trade, intellectual property, environmental and life science, etc. The intern‘s main responsibilities will include but are not limited to conducting legal research in these areas, and performing translation from Chinese to English and vice versa.　

He or she is expected to work approximately 20 hours a week, but may be asked to work more hours occasionally if his or her academic schedule permits. Ideal candidates will be postgraduate students or senior undergraduate students. The candidate should also have excellent research and writing skills and the ability to effectively communicate in both Chinese and English.
