The Beijing Office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, an international law firm headquartered in Washington DC, is seeking an intern from among students currently studying at top Chinese law schools to work closely with qualified legal professionals on projects related to Steptoe’s various practices, such as international trade, ITC Section 337 investigations, and food and chemicals regulatory compliance, etc. The intern’s main responsibilities will include but are not limited to conducting legal research in these areas, and performing translation from Chinese to English and vice versa.　
　　He or she is expected to work approximately 20 hours a week, but may be asked to work more hours occasionally if his or her academic schedule permits. Ideal candidates will be postgraduate students or senior undergraduate students who are expected to graduate in 2017. The candidate should also have excellent research and writing skills and the ability to effectively communicate in both Chinese and English.
